March 13 2026

AUBURN, Ala. - The 32nd annual Fishing Rodeo will take place Saturday, May 9, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Auburn Technology Park South lake. This event is hosted by the City of Auburn Parks and Recreation Department and sponsored by Evans Realty.

The cost of the event is $5 per child and is open to children ages 1 to 14. Registration will open Wednesday, April 1, for Auburn residents and Monday, April 13, for non-residents. Each participant must be pre-registered as there will be no registration available at the event. Registration information can be found on the Auburn Parks and Recreation website.

The first 175 participants to register will receive a free rod and reel courtesy of Evans Realty along with bait supplied by the Auburn Parks and Recreation Department. Each child will be permitted to bring home five fish and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Those planning on bringing fish home should bring a bucket.

Prizes will be awarded to the biggest and smallest fish caught in each age category as well as for most fish caught overall. Participants will also have the chance to win door prizes. This event is a great opportunity to bring children and their parents together with America’s favorite pastime.
